Part two of Caricature Assignment
The first part of the caricature assignment was to create a caricature based on a photograph or series of photographs. The second part of the assignment is to take it one step further and morph the caricature into an animal (or object.) The trick of course is to keep asking yourself if you can stretch or distort it more and still look like the person on whom it is based.
This particular version of Mahmoud I think goes in the right direction, although … possibly more mouse-like and cute then sinister and rat-ish.
اگ یه دفعه دیگه کاریکاتور منو اینجا گذاشتید کونتون میذارم
Not sure what the comment above says? Hopefully nothing like die American imperialist pig. Maybe it’s an ad for Dubai casinos or Middle eastern Viagra?
Me too, I donno what his comment means and I don’t like this president. However even if his comment was about Dubai casinos or Middle eastern viagra, it wont be as dirty as your original post or your comment later.
If your artistic side was high, you lowered it to the earth by the ugly discrimination and the foul-smelling that came from your mouth.
Live in peace bro
Where you say president I say dictator. Perhaps you are afraid to call him what he really is? Also, I think you should look up the meaning of discriminate. It means; “to make an UNJUST (emp. added) or prejudicial distinction in the treatment of different CATEGORIES (emp. added) of people or things on the grounds of race, sex, or age.” *Merriam Webster English Dictionary.)
I would make this definition even broader and include religion, sexual orientation, hairstyle or fashion sense. Even with all of this put together the cartoon would still not be discriminatory for I am not singling out a group or category of people.
I am singling out an individual. A man justly accused and almost universally despised for his abuse of civil rights, crimes against humanity, and his just plain crazy maniacal ranting about genocide.
As long as I have a pen, and the ability to reason and teach I will pursue this high artistic side to illuminate nut jobs and their antics for what they are. By-the-way this includes my own president(s) past present and future, and yours wherever he may live.
It is not discrimination, it is a promise of universal and equal treatment of all despotic tyrants the world over. It is my weapon of choice and in my country it is still my right to bare it.
Live in truth bro.
Nice caricature! You inspired me alot.
Hello, nice one!
Balanced, erudite and concise, I applaud your sentiments and your sense of the tenacity of our few remaining priveleges, go for it man.
All the very best. Mike.
The message above says: “If you put my caricature here once again, I’m gonna f**k you in the ass”. I can read it seriously, it’s no scam!
06 Dec 2008 at 1:23 am person, the last thing a zealot like you should be doing is trying to teach anyone, lol.
Btw Mahmoud has never “rant[ed] about genocide”. Maybe if you stopped watching Fox news for long enough you’d realise that. Tool.
Oh please … prove your intellect with a few more LOL and BTWs. With astounding retorts such as this it is no wonder that you haven’t the time to actually read the news. The United States Congress (both parties), Canadian Parliament, and the UK Parliament have all discussed and debated this at length and are seeking charges against the man. It was brought up on the floor of the UN for heaven’s sake, and it was covered by Fox News … Oh, and also by NBC, and CBS, and ABC, and ITN, the BBC, Al Jazeera and the FREE press from around the world.
From within the Arabic world, (I have friends there too! Isn’t the Internet wonderful!) leaders cringe when he speaks. I can almost see them, with one eyebrow raised, mumbling to themselves … “he didn’t really just say that did he?”
When Mahmoud cowers in fright, he call his own statements a “mistranslation;” a linguistic game based on semantic interpretation that baffles the western world. It is as if he doesn’t believe that we have the intelligence to follow his rhetoric from day to day or from year to year. When he is bold, however, his meaning becomes clear. He does not hedge his words and they are quite precise.
Ultimately Mahmoud’s worst enemy is himself. He does not know when (or how) to remain silent. Given an audience, and half a chance, his hate and ultimate intent spews forth from his crooked smile and SuperCuts hair-do without effort, thought, or concern.
He is a caricature of an evil dictator. If he wasn’t so capable of madness, he’d be truly funny; which is the way that I draw him and will continue to draw him.
In fairness I have posted all comments to this ongoing conversation, from both sides without censor. I have truly enjoyed the traffic and the numbers of people I have reached … but this thread has outlived its usefulness … and now it is closed.
Surely, there is something more relevant we can talk about …
