The birth of a logo

Published by admin at 8:01 am under Advertising / Design, Illustration

Sometimes, logos come easy for me. I see them clearly in my mind’s eye and trace them from this vision I have inside my head. Sometimes I struggle. This generally comes from me trying to push a square solution into a round hole. Regardless, it is a frustrating exercise to almost be there, to be so close, and see that I am close, but recognize that something is missing. It is a loop that I visit again and again. The loop will spawn new ideas, and I will start tangent paths, that end up in the same place. Close, but no cigar.

This grouping of logos fall onto this tortured creative ground. I have been working them on-and-off for two weeks. They are making progress, but the final solution eludes me.

Looks like you are stuck in a cycle like you said. It looks like, to me, you are looking for the science of Motion. For every action, there is a reaction. Work on the theory of the atoms moving causing a chain reaction or motion….
Just an idea. It looked like you were touching on that in the begining….Reaction….

Thanks for the comment Eleanor. Yes it was a loop. Strange as it may seem I presented a fourth idea, that I really did not like, that of course they loved. I had issues with it, becasue looked like an aerospace logo. They like it becasue they saw “inner movement or self motivation.” I said … Of course that is what I intended all along.

The forth logo is the one at the bottom. (I may have altered the art that I originally posted.) Thanks again for your comments.
